Thanks JHS Windows and Doors My wife and I moved into our villa in February 2004 in the Peyia area. We particularly wanted a traditional stone villa which of course came with wooden window frames and a solid wooden front door. After 15 years of intense sun and damp winters the front door was badly warped letting in rain and bugs and several upstairs window and door frames were damaged by the weather and termites.
So we made a plan to replace the front door, 10 windows and two patio doors. After researching suitable companies in the Paphos region and talking to friends JHS Windows and Doors came highly recommended .The company is run by James and Claire Holmes who order their products from a very reputable company Rehau AG in Germany who specialise in U-PVC double glazed windows and doors, with benefits coming from thermal and sound insulation.
We made an appointment for James to come and advise us about suitable replacements and to measure up, and were very happy to see the choice of products to choose from in the catalogue. Having made our choices we paid a deposit and booked a date in October for the fitting. The doors and windows were custom built in Cyprus which are under licence to Rehau in Germany. The whole process of stripping out the old wooden frames, windows and doors and replacing them with the new U-PVC products took a week with James and his assistant arriving at 7.45 and working until around 3pm. As well as fitting James very kindly re-plastered several areas and replaced tiles that had to be broken for the two upstairs patio doors to be removed.
Something we didn't expect was the expert clean-up operation afterwards with James taking away all the debris and we now have a sizeable amount of seasoned wood for the log burner!! My wife used this refurbishment as an excuse to also replace curtains and blinds so we feel we are living in a brand new villa which is now light and airy and noise from outside is much reduced. We should have a much warmer and drier winter and hopefully a cooler summer next year! I should also mention that JHS Ltd also supply bespoke kitchens and bedrooms which you can view on their website.

I just wanted to say how pleased we are with the kitchen you installed. Everyone who sees it is impressed and we love it. Our experience in the past with tradesmen has been unpleasant and at times distressing. You were such a pleasant surprise – polite, professional, punctual and flexible. Considering I can be somewhat picky, James was amazing – he accommodated all of my requests even when it meant making metal frames to sit the sink on the cabinets or spending hours getting the lighting right. I have never experienced such a focussed, hardworking team – well done to you all. I would have no hesitation recommending you for a kitchen installation and will definitely use you again if I need windows, doors or an upgrade to my wonderful kitchen!
